Skiing Wagrain

With the introduction of the new G-Link cable car that links the two sides of the Wagrain valley, Wagrain and Flachau have become the perfect place to ski in Austria for beginners, intermediates and families in particular.

With the introduction of the spectacular G-Link, the immediate Wagrain and Flachau area offers 115km of perfectly manicured pistes between them. It should however be noted, that whilst beginners,  intermediates and families we think we love these two charming ski resorts, for true experts the skiing is a little limited.

Ski Amadé

But as you will see from our Ski Maps page, if you select the Ski Amadé lift pass the mountain extends to nearly 760km of pistes, linking 25 ski resorts, a great deal of it easily navigated and we anticipate it will soon be one of the worlds biggest linked ski areas.

Within the Ski Amadé ski region there are 58 blue pistes, 70 red and 15 black.

Wagrain and Flachau

Both are archetypal Austrian villages, being surrounding by stunningly beautiful rolling alpine hills where skiing is a relaxed, casual affair, Wagrain and Flachau are simple alpine villages were the order of the day is relaxing, sip Gluehwein, read a book, ski some more, quite frankly, whatever is your fancy for the day.

Neither ski resort is large and there are only a limited number of shops, restaurants and bars, but in many respects this is what makes both ski resorts special!

Ski Schools

The main ski schools in Wagrain are the Skischule Rot Weiß Rot and Ski- & Snowboardschule Wagrain.
